Very useful. Since the computer's mouse is used instead of a finger, you can capture exactly what you'r doing when recording an instructional video for the phone.
I have been using sing SideSync for about a year now. I use it with the Samsung S7. The version a year ago worked fine with USB but was worthless wireless because it rarely held a connection more than a few seconds.
The current version I am using is 4.7.5.48. I was surprised to see that it holds the wireless connection much better. It may occasionally drop the connection but that is much less often now. I can even play a game wireless from the PC for long periods of time.
For example I can run the game Angry Birds 2 on the phone from my PC. It appears on my PCs 23-inch monitor. I use my mouse instead of the phones touchscreen. I enable SideSync's presentation mode so that the display is on both on the PC and phone. This is useful because the mouse can't do everything I need to do on the phone. Occasionally I have to reach over and do some things on the phone touchscreen itself.
SideSync has an option to transfer files to the PC but I find the interface very annoying and cumbersome. I find it much easier to connect the phone to the PC with USB and treat it as a PC drive. That way I can drag and drop files directly using Windows Explorer.
Note the SideSync PC app updated itself to version 4.7.5.48 even though the Samsung website download is for version 4.7.0.84.
